Let us now take this precious moment to pause and enter the sacred temple of our soul’s light. We are going to take a few deep, cleansing breaths and relax. If you listening to this meditation, close your eyes, if it feels comfortable. Breathe in slowly through your nose, hold it, then exhale very slowly though your mouth. Take another deep breath, hold it, as you exhale allow your shoulders to soften and try to notice the settling feeling envelop you as you begin to relax. All that exists in this moment is the deep breath in and the slow breath out. Everything else simply fades into the background.

Now, imagine you are at the edge of a dense forest. All around are tall trees and thick brush. If you look up all you see is the wide canopy created by the branches and leaves of the trees. It is dark where you are and shadows from the canopy dance all around you. You feel safe, protected, and comforted here. Now imagine, you are looking out from the shadowy darkness of the forest and towards the warmth and light of the spiritual sun. The sky is blue, the grass is like a soft, green carpet, and colorful wildflowers are swaying gently in the warm breeze. When you look closely within the light cascading down from the giant fiery orb above, you see a vague outline of a beautiful being of light standing by a trickling, meandering stream. It is beckoning you to join it there. You are aware that the magnificent being is your soul and you feel comforted by its kind and gentle aura. You feel the loving energy that it extends to you and accept it with an open heart. Yet, you still feel a bit of trepidation and fear. There is a vague and unexpected sense of shame arising as you wonder if you are worthy of being in the presence of such purity and love. Yet, you follow your heart and begin moving toward it. As you do, you hear a soft, gentle voice as your soul speaks to you.

“Dear one, it is ok. You are indeed worthy of the legacy bequeathed to you by our creator. That gift is the right to know and believe that you are beautiful and loved just for being you. Your celestial birth as a soul entitles you to an existence that is vast, immortal, infinite, and filled with love. I am excited for us to finally be consciously connected. Your life has not been easy for you at times, and I want you to know you are never alone. I have been there, comforting you as the weight of your sorrows felt as if it was crushing you. I held you in my loving energy as painful tears flowed from your mournful eyes. I will always be there for you. Yet, I have always wanted to communicate with you in ways that would allow you to be fully aware of my presence and able to feel my love, and the guidance I can offer. This can be a new beginning for you as you open to this new understanding. My devotion is not dependent on what you do, or do not do during your time here.”

As your soul finishes speaking it invites you to sit by the stream and share a moment of stillness and silence. There is an unspoken language your soul now shares, as it instills in you a new awareness and understanding of your life purpose. Listen now to that message for a moment. Once you have received it, you notice a shift in your energy. There is a wonderful sensation of expansion as the Divine love of your soul’s essence envelops you and swells within you. Take a deep breath now and feel the miracle that has just unfolded. At this moment, you become fully aware of the integration of both parts of your nature as it merged within the stillness. You feel both your humanity and Divinity, and you vow to honor both. You pledge to live with an appreciation for the beauty of the physical world, while always viewing your life through spiritual eyes.

It is now time to return to the present moment and to the space around you. Gently open your eyes. As you emerge from your transcendent experience today, allow yourself to be aware of one simple truth. You do not have to strive to “be the light.” You already are that spectacular light. You simply must believe you are worthy and allow it to shine for all to see. So, stand tall, own your power and light, then go out dazzle the world and the entire cosmos with your magnificence and infinite love.
