We are Beings of Light … What does that mean?

Spiritual teachers often refer to our souls as “beings of light and love.” Therefore, I always wondered, “Since most things in this world have an opposite, are there also beings of darkness and hate, or more explicitly, darkness and fear?”

Here’s how I see it. When we were created by our Mother/ Father God, probably many eons ago, we were simply a being of light. We were pure energy, luminescent, translucent, and radiant. Since our Creator is pure unadulterated love, it was not possible that we could be anything other than love. Yet, as I have mentioned numerous times, this does not mean we are all replicas of each other as a soul. Therefore, it is not only the personality we assume during each lifetime that makes us unique. I have learned from my team of light that, though the DNA, so to speak, of our soul is only love, it is configured quite differently in each one of us. This inimitable blueprint is what determines our individual and natural gifts and talents that we bring with us during each incarnation. They can, of course, be shaped, honed, and developed further with the help and cooperation of our personality or human counterpart.

Yet what about our light? Were we all created with the same ability to brilliantly radiate the light of our Creator? Are we all truly beings of light? If so, why are some of us seemingly devoid of light? Why, when we look into the eyes of evil, do we see darkness and even a look of hollowness, likened to an empty void? Some people say those of us that commit inexplicable acts of evil have no soul. Is that true? These are some of the questions we will explore during this discussion.

As always, what I am sharing is what I have learned during my time working with and learning from my team of light. These topics of discussion are meant to activate the inner wisdom of each of us, so that we can develop our own personal belief system not simply acquire it from another. I do not profess to have all the answers, but I do trust my team of light. Yet, once I receive information, I meditate on what I receive, ask more questions from spirit, and further define the truths within my own mind, and perhaps through the awakened memories of my soul. Just because something seems strange or hard to believe, doesn’t mean it is not true. It may simply mean that we are not quite ready to process and understand a particular truth at that time. Our souls may have to go through other evolutionary steps in order for the newly discovered truth to be assimilated.

The answer to the question, “Were we all created with the same ability to brilliantly radiate the light of our Creator,” is, in my opinion, unequivocally yes! We are truly all beings of light … each and every one of us. However, we also have the ability to turn up the ethereal dial on our light meter to full power and shine so that all the world is aware of our soulful beauty, even if they are not seeing the light through their physical eyes, though some do. Most likely, they are simply sensing it with their intuition or seeing it with their inner spiritual eyes.

On the other hand, we can also turn down that meter to the point where it is seemingly nonexistent. This can happen for a wide variety of reasons. It could be that we have been hurt or abused and our anger, and fear have inadvertently caused our light to diminish. Perhaps we suffer from chronic depression and anxiety. That unrelenting, dysregulation of emotions can also wreak havoc on our ability to keep our light meter on optimum power. Acts of evil are most certainly a state of choosing to turn down our light meter and feed the anger, rage, and fear until it boils over into possible, insanity and utter darkness.

Does this mean that people who commit unconscionable devastation, violence, and murder are without a soul? The answer to that, I believe, is no. We all have a soul, but just because we have one doesn’t mean our souls can always reach us in order to help us return to the light of who we are. Sometimes our souls can get hijacked by our possible dark and controlling personality and get caught up in the despicable abuse of power that ends up keeping us shackled in the darkness.

Terrorists are often born into the skewed religious ideology that results in behaviors that are impossible for the kind, gentle, and spiritually directed person to comprehend. They were once babies born of pure love. Yet from the moment they took their first breath, they were indoctrinated to choose hate, divisiveness, intolerance for any belief system other than their own, and an innate compulsion to annihilate the so called “infidels” that don’t share their fanatical, obsessive faith. Often, they don’t know any other way of navigating their way in this world and no capability to choose compassion, unity, and love for people who do not believe as they do. This to me is deeply sad and heartbreaking for them and for all of us.

Negative feelings and emotions of all kinds, from the impotent to the horrifying, have a low vibration and frequency compared to a positive one. We can get lost in the suffering and have a hard time finding our way out of the darkness. That doesn’t mean we can’t. The best way to heal on a spiritual level is to ask God and our team of light for assistance to help us understand that we are not the negative emotions that plague us. They can remind us of our true eternal nature, which is a being of light and love. They can help us remember that we are the observer of our negative emotions and adversities, not the emotions or the adversities themselves.

It is crucial to add that, though we are eternal light beings, we are souls inhabiting a biological form with a body and a brain chemistry that can sometimes prevent us from finding the light within so that we can radiate it. Therefore, our spiritual health is only one part of the equation. If we have a brain chemistry that is out of balance or a history of insurmountable trauma, for example, we should seek out the help of a professional mental health practitioner who can help us heal the possible physical reasons for our feelings of darkness, depression, anxiety, or thoughts of causing harm to ourselves or others.

It is my hope in sharing my thoughts that we may all seek to find compassion for those among us who are embroiled in darkness. The question of whether we can actively assist them is something we must ask ourselves. It may indeed be possible. Often, however, our desire to heal the world is best done from the temple of our soul’s light. In that sacred space we can peacefully meditate and pray for the souls of those who are suffering or confused. We can use our powerful gifts and our intense light-filled love to reach out far and wide, across oceans and around the globe. With our intention we can seek to fill the hearts of all people everywhere with our kindness, acceptance, and compassion as well as God’s fervent and everlasting affection, forgiveness, and love. Through this process, if we can reach just one person and help them awaken to the light of who they are, we will have created an enormous opening for more of the same to come to fruition. One seed can grow an entire forest. Let us be that seed and plant it with love.
